take control of your mental health in between sessions

Think of what many therapists call the 90/10 of therapy - in that, 90 percent of change can happen outside of therapy whereas maybe 10 percent can happen within a therapy session. This is just a saying that carries street credit in the mental health community as many clinicians, like myself, have learned how incredibly important it is for clients to be intentional with their time, energy and focus in between sessions to progress towards the change they desire.

One way people can take control of their mental health in between sessions is by focusing on finding psychoeducation that aligns with their mental health goals. Part of what I aim to do with Zessio is to create courses, workshops, presentations, and more to help you have additional psychoeducational resources at your fingertips.

Courses and Workshops

I have had a lot of fun creating courses and workshops for you and I’m still hard at work creating more! The courses I have developed so far, Respond vs. React and Marriage Prep course were inspired by my work with clients daily in sessions. I learned that there are themes when it comes to working with couples- simply put, the need to approach our relationships with a proactive and responsive approach. See below for more information on the two current offerings.

Currently I am offering two self led courses:

  1. Respond vs. React: Decrease conflict and increase connection in your relationships. Goal setting and clear focus is part of the practice in learning how to respond versus emotionally reacting. Respond vs. React will reveal the benefits of becoming emotionally responsive in your relationships and will offer tips to help you manage the intensity of the emotional experience. You’ll gain insight into your emotional reactions while also learning practical mindful tips to help you communicate from a place of calm and intention. This course is recommended for individuals in relationships that are struggling to feel heard and understood due to constant conflict and communication breakdown.

  2. Marriage Prep: Prepare couples for marriage along with helping them begin to have conversations around important relational areas of focus. I hope that during this course you will gain an in depth understanding of yourself and you partner through the lens of core relationship areas, understand how past experiences may influence how you relate in this relationship, and learn how to communicate responsively, fairly and with compassion. You will, alongside your partner, determine relationship goals, hopes and future plans along with developing a shared relationship philosophy to fuel your relationship’s story

I offer live and pre-recorded workshops ongoing through Zessio and all of these are available by clicking on the button below:
